Condemnations/“Government Taking of Property”
Condemnation is defined as the process of taking private property through the power of eminent domain. Eminent domain is the right states, localities and the federal government have to condemn and force the sale of private property.
Although the government does have the right to take property upon meeting certain legal criteria, individual property owners are entitled to receive just compensation for their private property when it is taken by the power of eminent domain.
The condemnation law firm of Dore Deutscher represents property owners in compensation issues including relocation benefits, property valuation, limits on the power of government agencies to take property, damages to the remaining property, relocation benefits, loss of business goodwill as well as other types of monetary damage issues relating to the government taking of property.
In our years practicing in the area of eminent domain, we have dealt with a variety of legal situations and issues which can arise as a result of government taking of private property and businesses. Our experience coupled with the expert witnesses and unique resources we have cultivated in this area of the law give us a decided advantage when representing clients in trial and settlement negotiations.
